OPPO F3 dominates 15k-20k price range with 48.5% share

In a market research conducted by GFK (Gesellschaft für Konsumforschung) last May 2017, Oppo F3 emerged as a dominating smartphone in the Php 15,000-Php 20,000 price range. The 48.5% market share topped the device as majorities’ preferred smartphone.

Vivo Readying Phones with Under Display Fingerprint Scanner

In a Mobile World Congress MWC 2017 Shanghai, Qualcomm and Vivo showed how fingerprint sensors will be embedded directly into screens.

Vivo has showcased its new Under Display Fingerprint Scanning Solution powered by Qualcomm in a modified Vivo XPlay 6. Vivo claims its under-display fingerprint solution is the first to be “demonstrated by a smartphone manufacturer.” The Chinese company said that since the Vivo Under Display Fingerprint Scanning Solution doesn’t require physical button for the sensor, the solution enables the use of a “true full-screen display and an integrated unibody and mechanical waterproofing design.”
