Hey HP users, coming your way are new thin-and-light Ultrabook-like and Sleekbooks but reasonably priced HP notebooks.
No. 1 in the line-up is the 13.3-inch Envy Spectre XT that looks closest to compete with a MacBook Air. It comes with a 1366×768 display and measures 14.5 millimeters (0.57″) thick and weighs 3.07 pounds. It has a backlit keyboard, 128GB solid state drive, 4GB of memory, and up to 8 hours of battery life. This is the only model which comes with the third-generation (Ivy Bridge) Intel processors.
And the next are the HP’s Envy Sleekbooks which are available in 14- and 15.6-inch sizes both have 1366×768 resolution displays. Though they have standard hard drives instead of SSDs and come with 4GB of memory. Both weigh 4 pounds and measure 19.8 millimeters (0.78″) thick. The 14-inch Sleekbook models come standard with second-gen processors, with Ivy Bridge as an available option while the 15.6-inch Sleekbook sports AMD’s second-gen APU. The larger gets nine hours of battery life while the smaller version gets eight hours.
The Envy Spectre XT is gonna be in store on June 8 with price starting at $999.99, not bad to compare with a MacBook Air! And the Envy Sleekbooks will be available on June 20 with price at $599.99 and $699.99 for a 14-inch and 15.6-inch model, respectively. So, you may now want to start thinking which one are you gonna get among these new notebooks. Give us your thoughts.
