DTC Android GT3 Review. Hey guys, here’s another affordable android phone, released by DTC Mobile. GT3 Astroid or the GT9326 costs Php4,999, a reasonable price for an entry level smartphone.

At first look, the GT3 Astroid appears very similar with the HTC Sensation (well, notice also its distributor’s name:  DTC ).The phone comes in a black-gray casing with a matte finish in the back and metallic-look plastic in front.  It looks heavy but actually it only weighs  110 grams, it’s very light!

Inside, it ticks an ARM processor clocked at 650Mhz coupled with Android 2.3.4 OS, fair enough to install most of the apps available in Google Play.I didn’t expect much on this phone, but it’s a must to say now that the Gingerbread is well-fitted on this device; the 3.5-inch screen’s response and overall performance considering clock processor is really surprising and would say I had a great experience using it.

Most of the phone’s dual sim capability isn’t new to us especially for China-made phones and this one is no exception. And now I have to admit that am still fascinated having these two sims in one phone and seeing the two cellular network’s signal bar both running and able to receive and send sms and calls.

The 5 megapixel rear camera can yield a decent picture and capable of taking panoramic shots while the VGA in front could be fair enough for video chatting using the pre-installed app Yahoo!Messenger.

Though released with an edge connection only (no 3G), the WiFi capability won’t let you down. The phone’s browser also competes well, outrunning the performance of my old iPhone 3G.

Games like Angry Birds and Fruit Ninja are pre-installed on the phone, together with other apps for social networking such as Facebook and Twitter.

Well, I got three good stuff about this smartphone, first is the price, then the speed and last is its wireless connectivity. For only Php4,999 you gotta have your android smartphone that won’t slash your pocket so much, and that’s so important. And also, considering its price, the design and finishing of this phone looks great and stylish.

And to give you a little preview what it looks like, here’s the DTC GT3 Astroid video clip:
