GQTV1 is a java based dual SIM phone that features QWERTY keyboard. Looking at the phone’s overall design, it looks like Nokia C3. The interchangeable keypad cover makes it stand out from other DTC phones. And whether we admit it or not, we, Pinoys are awesomely notorious and obsessed in changing covers and casings of our phones (especially during those heyday times of Nokia). Well, it’s given; we are always on lookout for something new and something fresh. =)
GQTV1 or EGO features 2.2-inch color display which could also beam up local TV channels. It’s a TV and radio on the go. There’s also a 1.3megapixel camera that could pretty much take decent pictures and record videos.
For internet connectivity, it uses GPRS though the speed is limited. It’s an advantage if you’re subscribed to a per byte charge because minimal data will go in and out your phone. The Java based Yahoo messenger works well, there’s no video or voice call but the chat feature is undeniably useful. I can even do the buzz! =)
The device could also serve as a Video and MP3 player; expansion slot for memory is supported by MicroSD and can accept up to 4GB. It also supports Bluetooth device pairing.
It uses 1200mAH battery and since this is not a smartphone, you could expect minimal battery consumption and a fully charged li-ion could last up days and even longer when in standby mode.
