GTV1 Stark is another budget TV phone from DTC Mobile. The specs may not impress you but looking at its price, it’s a good deal. At Php1,699 you’ll get a dual SIM phone, a pocket TV, an Mp3 player and all other features that you may want in a basic phone.
Stark features a 2-inch 176 X 220 color display LCD, though a little smaller than other DTC mobile TV phones, this one may take an advantage for those looking for a real compact TV device. The sleek design makes it comfortable to hold, it’s actually lighter than I expected.
It is a java phone, Yahoo Messenger, Facebook and Twitter are pre-installed apps and there are tons of java apps in the internet. You can directly download them using its GPRS connection or download from your computer and save it in a memory card. It supports microSD card up to 4GB enough to hold hundreds of java apps with some small video files and mp3s. You can also sync it with your computer using Bluetooth, or pair some Bluetooth devices such as earphones.
It’s a TV phone, and one of its good features is you can record TV programs saving it in your memory card. GTV1 Stark uses 800mAH battery that may live up 4-5 days in standby mode and 3-4 hours talk time.
