Riot Games, the creator of League of Legends revealed that this free multiplayer PC real-time strategy game recorded an average of 3 million simultaneous online users last July. And as noted in an infographic, the game registers an average of 12 million players a day with about 32 million active players logging every month. League averages at least 1 billion average play hours a month from more than 145 countries.

Looking back, it’s almost 3 years since the League of Legends hit the scene in the gaming arena. And within this short period, League quickly gained about 70 million registrations that stayed addicted to the evolution of the game derived from predecessors Warcraft III and Defense of the Ancients.

In this game, players have the option to choose from about 100 characters while playing alone or with other people in head-to-head matches against another team. And each character has four basic attacks with an option to select equipment to enhance its power. When the battle begins, each team works together with the goal of defeating the opposing side’s turrets, minions, and players to destroy the enemy base.
