Microsoft Surface Pro Tablet Price Release Date. Geeks, following the release of the Surface with Windows RT over a month ago is the new member of the Surface family, the Microsoft Surface Pro which is expected to hit the stores in early next year.
The Surface with Windows 8 Pro comes in two versions: a 64GB standalone version with price at $899 and a 128GB standalone version at $999. Both versions include a Surface pen with Palm Block technology and a Touch Cover or Type Cover, which is sold separately. Just like with its predecessor, Surface with Windows 8 Pro comes with a Dark Titanium VaporMg casing, a dual 2×2 MIMO antennas and a kickstand. It weighs less than two pounds and with thickness of less than 14 millimeters.
Surface with Windows 8 Pro is powered by Intel’s next generation Core i5 processor giving a graphics boost for its 10.6” 16:9 ClearType display that runs at a 1920×1080 full HD resolution. It also has a full-size USB 3.0 port alongside with a Mini DisplayPort which can drive an external display up to 2560X1440 resolution. It also supports a Pen input for your writing needs. The device is a full PC and a tablet that will run your current Windows 7 desktop applications.
