Braven 570 Portable Speaker – Wirelessly Stream Your Music Over Bluetooth

by Bon Francisco Talampas, Jr.February 23, 2013

Portability is everywhere.  While spending vacation in the Philippines, I got the chance to try one of Braven’s portable speakers – the Braven 570. I’m really hesitant to any wireless speakers especially bluetooth devices as these may reduce the sound quality. But instances will come that you really need keep those wires out of sight. And here it goes, the Braven 570. Let’s go, check it out.

Braven 570Braven 570 can stream audio via Bluetooth or 3.5mm jack. It also functions as a speakerphone for calls and serves as a charging station for a mobile device from its USB port. It is powered by 1,200mAh rechargeable battery that could last up to 10 hours continuous usage. It comes with 40mm drivers, 40mm passive subwoofer, class D digital amplifier (delivering a total of 6W) and matching output level of 95dB at 0.5 meters.

Using the device is as simple as turning it on, it quickly and easily pairs with your Bluetooth device. I tried it with my iPad mini and I have also used it with an Android smartphone and even tried its 3.5mm jack with my Shuffle. All sweet and no sweat experience!

In terms of audio, it delivers a very good sound quality filling up my entire room; it does a good job of delivering stereo sound while bass, mid and high ranges are all well-balanced.

Aside from bedroom, where can you use it?

Well, it is portable, you can bring it anywhere. Base on its output quality, I’m sure that it could perform well even if you’re in a large room or in a medium function room. Simply place it within 33 feet of a compatible bluetooth-enabled device. The speaker is also equipped with a 2-way microphone which you can use to carry on a hands-free conversation on your bluetooth-enabled cell phone.

Having this Braven 570 actually changed the way I looked at Bluetooth devices, audio quality losses isn’t an issue anymore, or actually it doesn’t exist;  or this one is just an exception, whatever, my listening experience just sounds better with Braven. =)
