PLDT Strengthens SME Nation, Kicks off first ever Tech Island at Pico De Loro

The brightest geeks in the tech industry have all gathered last Monday (Nov 17, 2014) at PLDT’s “Tech Island” event at Pico De Loro, Nasugbu Batangas, an invite-only gathering of immersive talks, inspiring breakout sessions and celebrity guests.

The event has focused on Small Medium Enterprise, with inspirational sessions, giving insight-laden talks on how SMEs can improve and promote their businesses using today’s tools and tomorrow’s technology. Gary Whitehill of Entrepreneur Week talked about personal goals, dreams to business and innovation. Paul Pajo of Smart Communications also gave his witty ideas on curating collaborative collisions consciously, he also initiated a fun activity that in a way made participants to know each other, exchange cards, and expand networks.

Break out sessions were also on the loop, running interactive seminars that gave SMEs hands-on experience on various tech topics. The purpose is to strengthen SMEs momentum and promote technological development through in-depth discussions on Disaster Defiance, Creative Collaboration and Seamless Process Integration.

Intelligent discussions ended on a beach party with an overflowing food and drinks as well as raffles of Samsung Chromebooks, TVs, tablets and smartphones.
