0

Gone are the days that in order to own a smartphone you would either need to shell out hefty cash, or subscribe to a telcos’ postpaid plans. The trend has changed considerably in the last few years.

If you’re looking for an affordable mobile phone or the best budget smartphone, consider Torque Ego One, carrying a price tag of P1,199, check the specs below:

  • 3.5-inch TFT screen, 320*480 pixels, Capacitive multi-touch screen
  • 1GHz Single Core Processor
  • 256MB RAM + 512MB ROM
  • Android Kitkat 4.4.2 OS
  • 2G: 850/900/1800/1900MHZ
  • Front Camera 3MP
  • Back Camera 3MP
  • Bluetooth 2.0
  • Batery 1000mAH Li-on

On the outside, Torque Ego One dimension is 191 x 117 x 9.8mm. It has a 3.5 inch HVGA LCD 320×480 capacitive display which I find clear and responsive. Considering as an entry level phone, the LCD’s clarity is a turn on factor actually, taragis.

It also has a 3 megapixel back and front camera, good enough to take small sized pictures for instagram and FB profile pics.

The phone comes in shiny white plastic casing combined with black accent.

Under the hood, Ego One is powered by 1GHz Single-Core Processor. Though it comes with relatively low RAM (256MB) the Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS is fair enough to support most of the apps available in the Google Play Store. And for the storage it has a built in 512MB ROM and can expand up to 32GB through its microSD slot. Other built in specs are Bluetooth, FM radio, Motion Sensor and 3.5mm Audio Jack.

Torque Ego One is a dual SIM phone. As I tried the call feature, receiving and making calls is a breeze. Voice audio quality is loud and clear.

The 1000mAh battery is also dependable, it’s not a power hungry device. A fully charged battery could work for a whole day operation.

Well, considering the price, I would say this phone is really a good deal. Its responsiveness is a big plus. The android OS, WiFi, GPS, bluetooth, 3 megapixel camera, touch screen, dual SIM functionality.. all in all for Php 1,199– the whole pack is amazingly affordable!
