China-based Xiaomi Technology expects its smartphone shipments to reach 90 million units in 2017.
As of today, Xiaomi has already managed to ship over 60 million units, and expecting to increase the shipment to 90 million by the end of the year. In a press statement, Xiaomi CEO, Lei Jun announced they are expecting the number for 2017.
As part of its efforts to reach the goal, Xiaomi launched recently its entry-level model, Redmi 5A, in the China market, carrying a price tag of only CNY599 (Php 4,500). The Redmi Note 5 is also rumored to come out with a price ranging from Php 7800 to Php 12000.
