Microsoft’s Xbox One video game console will go on sale in China this coming September as Microsoft Corp. partners with Chinese Internet TV company BesTV New Media Co. According to reports, Xbox One will be the first gaming console to enter the once-closed Chinese market. China had banned game consoles in 2000 citing negative effect on the mental health of its youth but temporarily lifted the ban in January.

At a San Francisco event hosted by new CEO Satya Nadella, Microsoft officially announced Thursday that it is releasing its popular Office suite for the iPad.
Chief executive Satya Nadella said that Microsoft was embracing the popular tablet because “a great idea shouldn’t have to wait for you to get back to a particular device”.
“We’re bringing Office, the gold standard in getting things done, to the iPad. A billion people rely on Office every day, and we’ve worked diligently to create a version of Word, Excel and PowerPoint that delivers the best productivity experience available on the iPad.”

Microsoft has scheduled a March 27 press briefing in San Francisco with news “focused on the intersection of cloud and mobile computing.” CEO Satya Nadella will be providing the opening remarks.
In the same event, Nadella will announce the launch of Microsoft Office for iPad, according to reports by The Verge and ZDNet. Like the other mobile versions of Office, the iPad edition is expected to include only Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote.
