Windows 8 Consumer Preview Minimum Requirements

So, you’ve heard this new OS from Microsoft, and would like to know what’s good about it and would it run properly on your system? Why you should install it and what you should expect.

According to Microsoft, Windows 8 will run on most PCs capable of running Windows XP and Vista. But the best experiences will be had on systems that were built to run Windows 7.

Here are the minimum requirements:

1 Ghz or faster processors 1 GB Ram for 32-Bit or 2 GB Ram for 64-Bit Computers 16-20 GB Hard Disk Space for 32-bit 32 GB Hard Disk Space for 64-bit DirectX 9 Graphics Card

Hey guys! Windows 8 Consumer Preview has finally kicked off.  And here’s what’s new since the Developer Preview.  The Consumer preview probably does a better job of integrating the touch-centric Metro interface and the traditional Windows Desktop interface. For tablet users, you guys will experience some very handy new touch gestures.

Microsoft to unveil Windows 8 Consumer Preview Version on Feb 29

Hey Windows users! Microsoft is coming up with the “consumer preview” version of Windows 8 scheduled to unveil on Feb. 29, just in time with the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. And yes, you’ll finally have it downloaded, but will the Microsoft’s business community also upgrade?

Well, Microsoft really needs to catch up. With the exceptions of Xbox gaming console and Kinect motion sensor, Windows Phone’s even scrabbling, Zune music player was killed last year, and they are even left behind on tablets – Microsoft has not done well this past year.
