Microsoft Windows 8.1 Update Available Now for Download

Microsoft’s Windows 8.1 update is now available to download. Windows 8 users will see a notification in the Windows Store with a prompt to upgrade to the new operating system.

If you’re an existing Windows 8, the update will retain all desktop and Windows 8-style apps, including files and settings. For Windows 7 users who wish to upgrade, a separate license key is needed ($120 for the standard version, and $200 for Windows 8.1 Pro.)

Samsung announces ATIV Tab 3 The World’s Thinnest Windows 8 Tablet

Geeks and tablet users, here comes the world’s thinnest Windows 8 tablet, the Samsung Ativ Tab 3. Aside from being the thinnest, this piece of tech is also tagged as a tablet with the power of a PC.

Another feature to show off is its 10.1-inch, 1366 x 768 screen display while the physical [...]

Microsoft Surface RT Hands-On Video

Lots of things have been said and written about Microsoft Surface RT. Though the device isn’t designed for power users, I still like it. It simply accomplished things the way it should work.

The Microsoft Office is the best selling point, admittedly not the fully featured Office Professional, but it does things we normally do and need – Create new document, Edit, Save, Open, View etc. Yes, there are lots of apps for iOS and Android that are compatible for MS Office documents and do the same things, but in the end, Microsoft Office is Microsoft Office. =)

Another best thing, the Surface RT has a USB port. The USB port opens up a whole world of possibilities. [...]
