Satya Nadella, Microsoft’s New CEO

Following the announcement of Steve Ballmer’s retirement in August, Microsoft has a new CEO, Satya Nadella.

Previously, Nadella was executive vice president of Microsoft’s Cloud and Enterprise group, responsible for building and running the company’s computing platforms, developer tools and cloud services.

The engineer has worked for Microsoft since 1992, when he left Sun Microsystems. In his previous role, Microsoft reportedly paid him $669,167 as a base salary plus stock bonuses which add up to $7.6 million.

LinkedIn Employees Got Free iPad Mini

A spokesperson from LinkedIn confirmed at Techcrunch, that the business-oriented social networking site LinkedIn has decided to give all of its employees an iPad mini.. how many of them? 3,500! woaah!

We wanted to acknowledge the hard work and accomplishments of all of our employees in 2012. During today’s bi-weekly All Hands meeting, we surprised our employees with iPad Minis as a small gesture of the company’s gratitude for their contributions.

Geeks, which do you prefer? Apple or Samsung? Though these two companies have unique products and prices, both emerge to be the global kings of smart devices including smartphones, tablets and PCs.

Analyst says that the battle between Samsung and Apple becomes stronger. Apple’s higher price against fewer products speaks volumes about the premium product line that Apple sells. Apple’s average selling price for all its products is $310 more than Samsung’s. This means that Samsung was able to ship to retailers about 20 million more smartphones, tablets, and PC’s than Apple.
