Simple steps to organize your Yahoo Mail!

Bon Talampas | Aug 25, 2010 | 9 comments

Yahoo! Mail folders make it easy to organize those incoming and outgoing messages. You can create your own folders in which to store your messages and even instruct Yahoo! Mail to deliver certain messages to specific folders.

1.  Click “Add”  in Folders .

 2.  After you created the folder, go back to your inbox and then check one the messages you wanted to filter then  go to “Actions” menu and select “Filter Emails Like This..”

3.  Filter—a set of rules and a destination that instructs Yahoo Mail to automatically deliver incoming messages to the folder of your choice.  On the example i used, i will automatically forward all the Facebook mail notification in the Facebook folder.

All mails that contain fbmessage in its name or from will be filtered and moved to facebook. You don’t have to worry about the filter contents, because it’s all there automatically, you just need to choose the folder name in the drop down button (if you have created more than one folder). Then click save.

Each filter has one or more rules and a destination folder. When an email message satisfies the rules, the filter delivers the message into the destination folder.

Done =)

    Duks, if you are a yahoo mail plus user (premium account) you shoulb be able to use that POP without problem, while yahoomail free account is not compatible or simply not allowed to be configured in Outlook.. Wala na kasing ads sa outlook di na sila kikita:)
