ABS-CBN has finally launched its digital box dubbed as the mahiwagang black box– ABS-CBN TVPlus, taking the lead to go digital.
The switch to digital TV broadcasts only means better picture and sound quality. A digital signal doesn’t suffer from the same degradation as an analog signal.
The “mahiwagang black box” is sold at a one-time fee of
Php 2,500 Php 1,499 and with no monthly or installation fee.
ABS-CBN TVplus users will receive ABS-CBN and ABS-CBN Sports+Action (formerly Studio 23) channels, on top of all free-to-air channels available via digital transmission. But the black boxes users will also get four extra channels from the network’s free digital service, namely CineMo, DZMM Teleradyo, Yey and Knowledge channel.
Below are the areas where signal or frequency is available:
1. Metro Manila
7. Nueva Ecija
11. Metro Cebu
13. Cagayan de Oro
ABS-CBN executive has promised that within the year, they’ll activate additional areas including Davao, Bacolod, Iloilo and Cagayan de Oro.
The box also comes with an ABS-CBN Mobile Prepaid Sim Card with Php50 load which can be used for calls, texts, and other mobile services.
