Samsung Galaxy J5 becomes official as the Korean giant introduces the second official member of the wildly popular Galaxy J series. For quite some time, the Galaxy J1 has only been the sole handset off this smartphone line, but Samsung announces the galaxy J5 in China earlier this week.
The Selfie-centric Samsung Galaxy J5
The Samsung Galaxy J5 is marketed to be a selfie-centric camera. Its camera capability is streamlined with a front-facing LED flash. The fact that it is also wallet-friendly makes it an instant hit among the masses.
For the specs-initiated, the Samsung Galaxy J5 packs a 5-inch TFT touchscreen with 66.5 percent screen-to-body ratio. Samsung also included an HD panel with 1280 x 720 pixels. Likewise, the handset’s hardware is primarily defined by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor which features a quad-core Cortex A53 running at 1.2GHz speed and Adreno 306 GPU for graphics.
In terms of camera, the Samsung Galaxy J5 includes a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/1.9 aperture lens; and a 5-megapixel front-facing snapper with f/2.2 lens. Both have their respective LED flash.
The handset also comes with 4G LTE connectivity just like any other handsets powered by the Snapdragon 410. Android 5.1 Lollipop will also be included in the device on the get-go; while the 2600 mAh battery will support these hardware on the go.
