O Plus has launched its newest smartphone that carries Google’s latest Android Marshmallow Operating System.
What’s with Marshmallow?
Android Marshmallow is visually similar Lollipop, in many ways. Google’s Material Design language is now more pervasive than ever before and the main areas of the UI – settings, notifications shade and navigation – remain the same. But Marshmallow does have some differences in appearance and new features.
The app drawer in Marshmallow is now in a vertical scrolling list as opposed to the paginated horizontal list that Lollipop had. You can scroll through the list or use a new scrubber bar on the right to jump to a particular letter of the alphabet.
As for the device’s specs, O+ M features 5-inch HD screen and is powered by Quad-Core 1.3GHz processor coupled with 1GB RAM and 16GB internal storage plus 16GB microSD card. It is a dual SIM phone with 3G connectivity feature. As for the camera, it comes with 8MP rear camera and 2MP in the front.
The device is available in two colors: Pure white and Macchiatto Gold. Selling price is Php 4,395.
