It’s year 2018 and as expected, OPPO just announced that the OPPO A83 is coming to the Philippines.
The smartphone, built to deliver an immersive visual experience, equipped with the same powerful processor found in the OPPO F5 series will go on sale starting January 27, 2018 carrying a price tag of PHP 9,990.
Powered by MediaTek Helio P23 MT6763T processor, the A83 also feature an 18:9 full-screen display housed in a 5.7-inch phone size. And as entry to an affordable segment, one of the trade offs is the lower 720p HD only resolution display as opposed to F5’s full HD display. Nevertheless, the smartphone is also equipped with a 13MP f/2.2 rear camera which is similar to F5 Youth alongside 8MP f/2.2 front camera that is enhanced by the same artificial intelligence-based technology from the F5 series.
For security, face unlock remains one of its key features, and just the same with F5 Youth, it’s equipped with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and a dedicated slot for a micro-SD card. The OPPO A83 comes with the Android Nougat 7.1-based Color OS 3.2.
In terms of connectivity, the Oppo A83 has 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It packs a 3180mAh battery and weighs 143 grams.
